The dancing elephant

Standard

Here’s some more outgoing mail for you guys to behold:

to Anna-LauraA big envelope going to Anna-Laura in the US. She’s a fellow member in LEP :)

to denise3Obligatory letter to Denise in Canada <3

to EricaA pink number for Erica in Finland. Love the elephant. So elegant!

to Sara Jean 2And this is for Sara Jean in the US. I hope it finds her without problems :)

V is for Vallmo

Standard

to BeckaThis is a little package with stationery I sent to Becka in the US, a member of LEP. It’s always better to give away than to throw away :) I hope she’ll enjoy it and give it a new loving home.

to Chen (Taiwan) and DeniseI’ve also sent a couple of postcards. The one that says “Fest!” (means Party! in Swedish) is for a stamp swap with an InstaGram user. The one in front says Vallmo, which is the Swedish word for poppy. I’ve sent it to a very dear friend to show off Sweden’s new stamp design :)

to denise2A very orange letter for a very good friend (she gave me a golden star in penpalling yesterday!); Denise in Canada! I love this l’Opera illustration that I took from a butchered 19th century guide of Paris :)

to Sara JeanAnd last but not least, a little birthday hello to Sara Jean in the US! I have no idea if she got it yet, but I’ve waited long enough to justify me blogging it!
When I bought stamps for this:
Me: “I’d like a 30kr stamp please.”
Postal lady: “Hmm, we don’t have those. Is 20+10 ok?”
Me: “*sigh* Yeah, that’s alright I guess.”
Postal lady gives me 20+5+5.
So that’s why the stamps are
1. fishing themed >_>
2. covering the whole thing D:

Trio and berries

Standard

It is tintype time! I have acquired two more to my slowly growing tintype collection, and I really really like these! Let’s have a look:

tintype2How adorable is this trio of well dressed ladies? What do you think, friends or sisters? My guess is sisters. They are so pretty! And the dresses! *sigh of dreaminess*

tintyp1Here is the second tintype I have added to the collection lately. I think this woman is absolutely beautiful. And her earrings look like they could have been rocked in the 80’s as well!

If you want to see my other tintypes you can find them here and here.

new stampsOn a completely different note I’d like to show off the newest stamp design in Sweden. I really like these stamps! Colourful and fun! (Colourfun. Can we agree on that word? Yes I think we can, these stamps are colourfun!)
These are for national mail, but I can use them for international letters as well (just use 2 instead of 1). The latest international stamp design involves chairs. Mhm. I haven’t bought any of those yet, but I look forward to try how they work with my mailart.

The art of folding

Standard

from C. AlexanderCaroline in Germany sent me a letter, and she folded the sheets in a clever way (I can’t copy it becasue of stupidness xD) so that no envelope or tape was needed! Of course there’s tape there, because you know, washi! But I could tell when I opened it that it didn’t really need it to stay closed. So cool!

from KaraKara sent me a very interesting letter, and it has a pin-up on the envie! Awesome! :D

from KellyA vintage postcard from Kelly in the US. Thank you! :)

On a random note I’d just like to say that I am very excited about the new Doctor!  (Less excited about the new theme song, but maybe it’ll grow on me.) Waiting a week between episodes is miserable.
